Configure Missing Object

American Veterans Security will create the Group for our customer.

American Veterans Security will add a user to the group, customer to accept Vortex email and create a user password.

Devices: 

Add Device

Click Camera, NVR device

Enter Device ID from Camera, Change Device Group to your group, Name the camera and Check Time Zone, click Add.  You should see the Congratulations screen. 

Add another device or Done

Set Alarms Now: Skip

Plug Camera into a POE Switch or POE injector that is connected to the internet.  I’ll take about 5 minutes for the camera to power up.

View: Go to your group and verify that the camera is active.  When you see live video, go to Devices

Devices: 

Go to your Group

Hover over camera, click Cog on right

Firmware Update, system will check if an update is needed, if one is, Update Now, this will take around 5 minutes to update and power cycle.

Click on Cog

Media: You can set adjust the Image setting, Privacy Mask Audio Setting and RTSP.

Detection: 

Audio: If the camera has a microphone, you’ll be able click the button to turn on/off.

Tamper: Click the button to turn on/off.

Video Content Analysis:

On the Top Right, Click Add

Choose Detection Type: Intrusion, Line Crossing, Loitering, Missing Object, Unattended Object Detection

Intrusion: Draw Intrusion area, Select People, Vehicle or All, We suggest creating one for people and another for vehicle, this helps us on the support side. Click Save

Line Crossing: Draw Line, Select People, Vehicle or All, We suggest creating one for people and another for vehicle, this helps us on the support side. Click Save

Loitering: Draw Loitering area, Select People, Vehicle or All, We suggest creating one for people and another for vehicle, this helps us on the support side. Then set the Trigger Condition time, the time is in seconds.

Missing Object: 

Draw Detection area and set Max and Min object size

Set Trigger Condition Time, Time is in seconds.

Save

Unattended Object: 

Draw Detection area and set Max and Min object size

Set Trigger Condition Time, Time is in seconds.

Save

Click on the Cog/System on the left side of the screen

Alarm Management:

Add Alarm

Select which Content Analysis option you’d like to be active.

Select which General Events option you’d like to be active.

Select which System Events option you’d like to be active.

Select which Content Analysis option you’d like to be active.

Next

Choose Source: 

Check the box on the Group

Check/Uncheck the camera you want to have active notifications

Select

Next

Actions: Select Mobile and add the user to the lists.  Do the same thing for Email.

Next

Set Schedule, Blue is active.

Enter alarm name, 

Save, the Add

Users:

Invite User, Enter the email address of the person you’re inviting and click invite. 

The person you’ve invited will receive an email, they need to create a password to receive notifications and access the cameras.

Set up now

Check the Group Box and Roll Permission, you can see the different permissions by clicking on the information button.

Save

Go To View:  Verify that the camera is on, recording and aimed properly.

Dark blue line on time line:  indicates 24X7 video recording

Light blue lines on time line:  indicates Trigger event.

Message Center: 

You’ll see 3 Tabs, Device, System and Access Events.

Device Events =This is where you’ll find your Trigger Events

System Events = Hardware Related Trouble Events

Access Events: = Access Control Events

In Device Events:

Select the Device

Uncheck Device Group

Click on the name of the device you want to see

Check the of the camera you want to see and Select.

Event Type: Uncheck All Event Types

Select the event type you’re interested in, such as Line Crossing

Time Frame: To and From, Click apply on both.

Search

Results will appear, click on one to play.  You can click Archive to save the file in the Archive folder.  If it’s a false event, click Report False Video Events link.  This helps Our AI Vortex Team with developing a better user experience.

Archive Folder: Click on the Icon just above the Cog on the left side of the software.

From here, you can play the clip, Download and Share the footage.

Download: Click on the download Icon, I popup will appear and you can direct where to same the file.

Share: Click Share and a link will appear, copy the link and email it to whomever you wish to share it with.

Deep Search:  Quickly search for People, Vehicle, License Plates.

Premium Cameras:  Scene, Attribute, Research, Profile and License Plate Recognition Search;

Essential Cameras: Scene Search
